After saying goodbye to Malawi (Check out Robbie and Diana hanging w the local kids!) we make a beeline for Zambia. Now, African borders can be a challenge. Slow, inefficient, maddening. You have to find your inner Zen when working your way up the line and presenting your passport to that immigration official. Remember you are in Africa.
The Zambia border was no different. But after several hours, we were once again on the road, scratching our way to South Luangwa National Park. Why? Well because we’re doing another game drive, silly! You come to Africa for the animals, after all. Well, at least you should be. Or it should be near the top of your list when scribbling down all the reasons you want to visit this fascinating continent. You’re definitely not coming for the crappy borders.
We make it to our campsite after several hours bouncing down rutted roads and pitch our tents. A visitor even stops by to greet me. But no time to chat as I’m off to another game drive…
Janet’s made a new friend.
We hop into our Landcruisers and take off…

Next up: Baboon Blvd. (They’re so busy!)
Then we take a little break for tea and coffee at Hippo Circle.
(Janet and Tony scoping out the big guys…)
Then we’re back on our drive. Stopping briefly at Impala Circle.
As we roll back to camp, after another successful game drive, we’re treated to yet another amazing African sunset…
